What a thrill to begin our 15^th season with this legendary singer-songwriter. Lori has remained in the spotlight since the early seventies, gleaning the respect of an industry and a devoted base of fans. As the one responsible for such hits as “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” she has consistently recorded album after album for Capitol Records, RCA, EMI, Pope Music, and currently, Drive On Records. Bands have been covering Beatles tunes for decades, but none like this talented trio. Stunning vocal harmonies, a folk-pop sound, and an engaging stage presence all add up to a terrific evening of music. If it’s not exciting enough to have Dala back at Concerts at the Crossing, have we go something special for you to kick off the evening when we present Treasa Levasseur. Treasa plays piano, accordion, guitar, mandolin, and anything else she can get her hands on. Heavily influenced by such artists as Mavis Staples, Carole King and Annie Lennox, she remains musically versatile and has played everything from heavy metal to hiphop, country, sugary pop, and thoughtful folk music. Her latest release, Low Fidelity was nominated for a 2010 Juno Award for Best Blues Album. You’re gonna love her!

In addition, they’ll also be performing their own Dylan-influenced originals. Expect to hear songs from Blonde on Blonde like “Just Like a Woman,” “I Want You,” “Rainy Day Women,” “Visions of Johanna,” “Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again,” as we close out the season with a bang.
